Nice column on the Cubs minor league 1B prospects. Have to admit with how 1B in MLB is loaded with big HR & RBI men, I'm not overly excited about any of these prospects although Slaughter is worth keeping an eye on.

Yea good take...It will be weird one day not seeing Rizzo not playing first base for the Cubs. Hopefully, that will not be for several more seasons.

Agreed Tony. Rizzo signed a team friendly contract last time and my heart would like to see Cub management reciprocate. But I know Theo and Jed have to look long term at what is good for the Cubs. If there is a modern day Mr. Cub its Anthony Rizzo.
